Ch ch ch changes...
Hello friends,
It's been nearly 4 months since you heard from me - it's been a time of personal turbulence, moving both my parents into aged care, clearing out their house, and then the passing of my father in April,
I found myself in a place where I questioned whether I could resume my career as a solo guitarist. It felt like the flame went out.
Tutoring at the Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Camp last month gave me a much-needed boost, and served as a transition back into a musical life. I've come back full of enthusiasm and optimism about the future.
'Fixing Things'
I'd like to share with you a tune that I composed sitting next to my dad, when he was in palliative care. It's one of those rare tunes that landed fully formed. It's called 'Fixing Things' - a tribute to my father.
This weekend I'll be heading to the snow to play with my friend Nadia Sunde at the annual Peak festival.
It's a free festival based around Perisher & Smiggins, to celebrate the opening of the ski season
It will be cool! 😅
